Deforestation
Over population
Water Pollution

Deforestation has become a major issue in Nepal over the last 60 years. From 1966 to 2000, it's estimated that forest cover in Nepal as dropped from 45% to 29%. This massive drop in forest cover over Nepal as been due to population growth, high fuelwood consumption, conversion of forest into cropland for farmers. As a result of overpopulation in Nepal, the forest areas are being damaged and overused consistently by the locals as their only source of food. With the government helpless to change the situation because of its economic state right now, it risks the chance of a further drop in the economic growth of the country in the future. Agriculture is the source of 41% of Nepal GDP and with over 80% of the population involve in agriculture, Nepal needs to pay more attention towards this issue. The increase in deforestation in the forest lands has caused more flood and soil erosion to land and as a result, of this, the soil nutrient in the land are being affected.

Over population has become a major problem in Nepal and the world today. Unlike its neighbouring country, India and China. Nepal does not have the economic resources to provide for all its citizens with food and homes. With over 40% of the population in poverty, its shows Nepal's real problem. Being the 17th poorest country in the world, Nepal faces more dark days. The major issue for overpopulation in the world is the birth to death ratio, with the birth rate being slightly higher than the death rate. If Nepal is to move forward, it will need to find a solution to this massive issue. Over population brings no advantages and only damages the cultural main source of income in agriculture.

Water pollution in Nepal is one of the most serious public health issues in the country. According to Department of water supply and Sewerage in Nepal, an estimated 80% of the population has access to water, but because of the country poor system of recycling and wastage, the water isn't safe. If Nepal is ever going to improve its water pollution problem, the way Recycling, handling of organic chemical, industries waste, pesticides has to change.
